COMET HALE-BOPP IN APRIL

Chart 30 shows the path of the Comet Hale-Bopp from April 1 to April 30, 1997. The comet enters the constellation Perseus (The Breaker delivering the redeemed) in early April. On April 9-11, Hale-Bopp will be in Rosh Satan (the head of Satan) which is the head that Perseus (The Breaker) is holding in his left hand. This is also known as the head of Medusa. The Arabic name is Al Ghoul, the evil spirit. This name was given at least one thousand years before Mohammed was born. The early Arabic astronomers may have received the names of the stars and their meanings from the Magi of Babylon, who most likely received them from the prophet Daniel. In late April, Hale-Bopp will enter into the constellation and Sign Taurus (Messiah, the coming judge of all the earth).

ANOTHER "H" FACTOR

Here is another one of those interesting coincidences. Chart 31 shows the path of the Comet Hyakutake from April 1, 1996, to April 30, 1996. The numerical designation of Hyakutake is 1996B2, 1996 being the year that it was discovered. Hyakutake is the bright comet that passed by the earth in the Spring of 1996. Its orbital period is about 20,000 years. The last time Comet Hale-Bopp was here, was about 4,200 years ago. It is interesting that the closest approach to the earth for these two comets came one year apart, almost to the day. The closest approach of Hyakutake was March 24/25, and the closest approach of Hale-Bopp was March 22/23. Compare Chart 31 to Chart 30 by holding them up to a light and lining up the constellations. The point of intersect of the two comets is on the same day, one year apart (April 10, 1996, and April 10, 1997) and in Rosh Satan (the head of Satan). The two paths of the comets form a cross.

Charts 32 and 33 show the positions of the two comets on April 10, 1996, and April 10, 1997. Their separation on the same date and time, one year apart, is about 1 degree declination or latitude. They are very near the same right ascension or longitude. Latter on in the day, on April 10, 1997, Comet Hale-Bopp will reach the intersect point of the path where Hyakutake passed on April 10, 1996. The designated number of Comet Hale-Bopp is 1995o1, which is the year that it was discovered.

Perhaps certain earthly or heavenly events will occur on or near April 10th which will give us a better idea on what this means if it does indeed signify anything.

INCREASED VIOLENCE IN ISRAEL

Since last month's newsletter, violence has greatly increased in Israel, and the so called "Peace" treaty is on the verge of total collapse. In early March, seven young Israeli schoolgirls were massacred by a Jordanian soldier on the "Island of Peace" in the Jordan river. On March 20, a suicide bomber killed three Israeli woman, one pregnant, and wounded scores more in a restaurant in Tel Aviv. One of the seriously wounded was a six month old baby girl, whose mother was killed in the bombing. There were two suicide bomb attempts on school buses carrying children to school on April 1. Miraculously, the bombs exploded prematurely, just before the buses reached the points of explosion. Dozens of children were saved from death. Another bus, carrying Israeli soldiers, was fire bombed and overturned, causing many injuries, non critical, on April 2. Since March 21, many violent demonstrations have been held in Jerusalem, and areas throughout the Palestinian territories in Jewish sectors. At least 8 Palestinians have been killed, including the suicide bombers, and hundreds injured. There have also been many injuries to Israelis. Arafat considers stone throwing and fire bombs (molotov cocktails) as forms of "peaceful" demonstrations and legal. All of this recent violence was triggered from the decision of Prime Minister Netanyahu to start construction of a housing project in Har Homa, in southeast Jerusalem. Arafat wants Jerusalem as the capital of Palestine, and finds this a threat to his agenda. Israel rightfully claims Jerusalem as its eternal Capital. The final status of Jerusalem was to be settled by the year 2000 according to the "Peace" treaty. It will be settled alright, when the Lord Jesus Christ (Y'shua HaMashiach) appears, hopefully by the year 2000. Until then there will be great tribulation and many nations will come against Jerusalem. Most of the nations in the United Nations condemn Israel building in Jerusalem, even though the site of the housing project is within Israeli Jurisdiction. The European Union also condemns Israel. The Clinton administration is walking the fence, and is against Israel building in Har Homa, Jerusalem at this time.

The media, for the most part, is also dancing to Arafat's (loony) tune. The following is from an article in the News and Opinion section from the International Christian Embassy, Jerusalem. "The Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America (CAMERA) has called for media consumers to raise concerns about biased media coverage on Har Homa. In a statement issued on March 24, the organization said: "While CAMERA doesn't take positions on political issues, our goal is to promote accurate, balanced coverage so that the public can make informed decisions, not ones based on biased or incomplete information." The CAMERA statement follows: In this alert, we will focus on current themes in the reporting of this issue. 'ARAB EAST JERUSALEM' - The following inaccurate terms have become staples in the media's coverage of the Har Homa issue:

*predominantly or mainly Arab East Jerusalem

*historically Arab East Jerusalem

*Arab East Jerusalem

All are false. The Har Homa housing project can appropriately be described as taking place in south-eastern Jerusalem. It is inaccurate to describe the area as "Arab" and to do so is to politicize what is supposed to be an objective news report.

Currently there are more Jews than Arabs in eastern Jerusalem. Historically, Jerusalem was always a mixed city. It was only during 1948-1967, when Jordan controlled eastern Jerusalem, that this part of the city was homogeneously Arab because the Jordanians expelled all the Jews in eastern Jerusalem and destroyed the synagogues there, some hundreds of years old.

Recall that within eastern Jerusalem is the entire Old City, which contains the Temple Mount, the Western Wall and the Jewish Quarter. Note that also in eastern Jerusalem are Hebrew University (built in 1925), Hadassah Hospital on Mt. Scopus (built in 1938) and the Jewish National and University Library (built in 1930).

'SETTLEMENT' - Another term often wrongly used to describe the Har Homa housing development is 'settlement'. Har Homa is inside the municipal boundaries of Jerusalem. It is not a 'settlement', it is a neighborhood, community, housing project, or housing development. The misuse of this term is so pervasive that even the White House, in an opinion poll, has been using the word 'settlement'. Several CAMERA members have called to tell us that when they phoned the White House comment line (202-456-1111) they were first greeted by an automated survey that contained a question about Har Homa phrased something like, 'Do you support the Israeli government's decision to build a Jewish settlement in East Jerusalem?"

Daniel 12:9-10 (KJV) - And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.

To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen. Jude 1:25
